Senior AI Engineer
What it is about
In this role, you are responsible for the development and integration of AI-based solutions. This includes the design, implementation, and optimization of machine learning models as well as the seamless embedding of these technologies into our services and products – with the goal of creating intelligent, scalable, and value-adding solutions.
You will work in a small team in close cooperation with the CTO, the Engineering team, and the Product team.
You bring intelligent systems to life – with data, models, and code that turn possibilities into real-world solutions.
What you will achieve
Development and implementation of machine learning and deep learning models
Building and maintaining data pipelines for training and production systems
Experimenting with new models, frameworks, and technologies
Evaluating performance and continuously optimizing AI models
Documenting technical concepts and models
Collaborating in defining and finding solutions for our services and products
Ensuring code quality through automated testing and code reviews
Evaluating and proposing new technologies, models, and best practices
Documenting and transferring knowledge within the team
What you bring to the table
At least 5 years of experience in Machine Learning, Data Science, or AI Engineering
In-depth knowledge of Python and common ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
Proficiency in generative AI
Experience with the integration of LLMs (prompting, evaluation, observability)
Proven track record of delivering AI-powered features
Experience in handling databases, data processing, and feature engineering
Familiarity with MLOps, deployment strategies, and scalable AI systems
Solid understanding of evaluation metrics, model validation, tuning, and versioning
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
Proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative
Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable educational background
Excellent command of English and German
