Data Privacy

General Information on Data Protection

The operator complies with the statutory provisions of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (“FADP”), the Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection (“OFADP”), the Telecommunications Act (“TCA”) and other applicable data protection provisions of Swiss or EU law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) (together “applicable data protection legislation”).

In principle, the operator processes personal data of its users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website as well as its content and services, if the operator has a legitimate interest in the processing, if processing is required or prescribed by law, or if the user has given consent.

Access Data / Server Log Files

Description and scope of data processing

The operator collects data about every access to its website (so-called server log files). The access data collected includes:

  • Name of the accessed website, file(s)

  • Date and time of retrieval

  • Browser and version

  • Operating system of the user

  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)

  • IP address of the user and the requesting provider

Legal basis and purpose of processing

The collection and processing of this data aims to enable the use of the operator's website (establishing a connection), to guarantee long-term system security and stability, to optimize the online offering, and for internal statistical purposes. This also constitutes the operator's legitimate interest in data processing.

In the event of attacks on the network infrastructure or other unauthorized or abusive website use, the IP address, together with other data, will also be analyzed for clarification and defense. If necessary, it may be used within the scope of criminal proceedings for identification and for civil and criminal action against the users concerned. The operator explicitly reserves the right to subsequently check the log data if there is a justified suspicion of illegal use based on concrete evidence. The operator has a legitimate interest in such data processing in order to prevent unauthorized access in the future and to improve our system stability accordingly.

The data is stored compliantly for this purpose.

Retention Period

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose of their collection, provided that further storage is not justified by overriding interests or legal obligations of the controller. This is generally the case after 24 hours.

Further storage for website optimization and statistical analysis is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the users will be deleted or anonymized, so that correlation is no longer possible for the accessing user or you.

Use of Cookies

Description and scope of data processing

The operator's website uses cookies. Cookies are small files that make it possible to store specific, device-related information on the user's access device (PC, smartphone, etc.) in order to identify the device when the website is visited again. On the one hand, they serve the user-friendliness of websites and thus benefit the users (e.g., storing login data). On the other hand, they are used to collect statistical data on website usage and analyze it to improve the website.

The user data collected through technically necessary cookies is not used to create user profiles.

Retention period, right to object and right to erasure

Most browsers have an option that restricts or completely prevents the storing of cookies. However, please note that usage and, in particular, user convenience will be limited without cookies.

Deactivating cookies may result in not being able to use all functions of our website.

Contact us

Description and scope of data processing

When contacting the operator (for example, via contact form, email, or chat), all relevant information provided by the user is generally stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise.

This includes, in particular, the following information:

  • First name, last name of the user;

  • Email address;

  • Phone number;

  • Current location of the user (in the support chat).

For the processing of data, reference is made to this privacy policy during the submission process of the contact form.

Alternatively, contact can be made via the email address provided. In this case, the user's personal data transmitted with the email will be stored.

Legal Basis and Purpose of Data Processing

Data is processed either on the basis of the user's consent or, if the email serves the purpose of concluding a contract, for the performance of a contract.

The processing of personal data from the input mask is used solely to process the contact inquiry. In the case of contact by email, this also constitutes the necessary legitimate interest in processing the data. Storing the data for a certain period of time enables the operator to refer back to it in the event of subsequent follow-up questions.

The other personal data processed during the submission process is used to prevent misuse of the contact form and to ensure the security of our information technology systems, which also constitutes our legitimate interest in data processing.

In addition, the operator reserves the right, within the scope of its legitimate interest, to retain the conversations held with the user, including the user's personal data contained therein, for evidentiary purposes.

Retention Period

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose of its collection, unless further retention is justified by overriding interests or legal obligations of the data controller. This is the case when it can be assumed or inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified and no further inquiries are to be expected.

The data retained for evidentiary purposes is generally deleted after 14 months. Here, too, in exceptional cases, a legal obligation or an overriding interest may justify a longer retention period.

Right of Objection and Erasure

The user has the option to withdraw their consent to the processing of personal data at any time. If the user contacts us by email or via the contact form, they can object to the storage of their personal data at any time by email. In such cases, the conversation cannot be continued.

All personal data stored in the course of contacting us will be deleted in this event.
